The Jack Petchey Foundation was established by the successful East London entrepreneur, Jack Petchey, in 1999. It is a young, progressive grant making Trust based in Ilford Essex. It is now among the largest and most influential London charitable foundations. It focuses on projects and programmes that benefit 11-21 year olds. The main area of operation is the London boroughs and Essex, where it currently operates in 1600 secondary schools and youth clubs. There are smaller programmes elsewhere.
Fives and Heronians selects one young person a month to receive a Jack Petchey Achievement Award. The winner gets a framed certificate and a £300 award, made payable to the club, to be spent on a club project of the recipient’s choice.
The club also selects one person for the annual Leader Award of £1000 for a club project. This person will have, above and beyond the average ability, to encourage and motivate our young cricketers.
Fives and Heronians are greatful for the foundations continued support. For more information about the foundation, please follow the link below, or click on the logo on the left hand side.
