Match report Asked to bat on a very wet pitch, Fives were given the perfect start as Rahul Bhome and James Foley enjoyed an opening partnership of 95 before James was caught for an excellent 51, Rahul followed 1 run later for 34. This brought together Glyn Harding and Glenn Jackson who then added a very entertaining 118 in rapid time before Glen departed for exactly 50 with the score at 213. Steve Ambridge joined Glyn in adding 27 in under three overs, Steve departed for 24 and was soon followed by Glyn for an excellent 76. The innings closed on 268-7.

Loughton were given a good start in reply, but once James Lawes broke the partnership the bowlers regained the initiative. Mark Wheeler toiled away at one end and enjoyed regular success aided once again by some fine fielding and catching. Always behind the clock Lougton eventually settled for taking maximum batting points as they ended on 228-8 from 54 overs. Sooty once again completing a five wicket haul finishing with 5-64 from 21 overs.
