Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Hadleigh and Thundersley on Sat 21 Aug 2010 at 1.00 pm
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won by 76 runs

Match report Fives won the toss and opted to bat. We reached 35 for 1 off 9 as Stuart Knapman provided some impetus with a breezy 27. We then failed to build partnerships as people got starts but didnt kick on. We made 184 off 48.2 overs with Steve Adcock top scoring with 40. Fives took early wickets in reply reducing the oppo to 9 for 3, Sooty taking a couple, aided by sound work by Chris Apps behind the stumps. Hadleigh then batted well and reached 90 for 4 before James 'Sibbo' Sibley entered the fray and changed the game. He first took the wicket of key man Harrison, a run out then ensued as ''Rodney'' bowled with hostility and good control. Hadleigh subsided to 108 all out with 17 of the last 20 overs left to give Fives a much needed win. With 2 games left, we have all to play for and if we win our last two, we have every chance of getting promoted.
MOM - James 'Sibbo' Sibley (Rodney)
