Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Saturday 2nd XI v Ilford on Sat 10 Jun 2006 at 1.30
Match was Drawn

Match report Fives picked up 10 pts in a game which eventually fizzled out into a tame draw. Fives elected to bat first and made use of the hot weather conditions and relatively flat pitch to record their best total of the season 275-6. Highlights were a steady 37 from Phillip Apps, an un-Tino like 59 which was a well paced innings and also a useful 42 from Shoab Iqbal. The best knock however was from the ever improving Ricky Reynolds who made an entertaining 52 at the start of the innings.

In reply Fives found it hard to get in and amongst the Ilford batsmen on such a good track. Although Fives bowled steady enough and were in the hunt at one stage with Ilford at 170-5, the visitors decided to call of the run chase with about 15 overs left to leave them on 237-5 and thus the game ended in a tame draw.
