Match report The second Eleven finished with a draw in what was their second pre-season game of the season in a very one sided contest against a very strong Hainault & Clayhall 2nd Eleven. Having won the toss Fives decided to field and they immediatley were made to struggle. H & C scored at over 6 an over throughout their innings to mass a formidable 301-5 off 47.5 overs. Credit should be given to H & C batsmen who played good attacking cricket against an attack that tried hard, but failed to make a real impact throughout. Seven bowlers were used in total on what was a good track and it was probably only when a bit of pace was taken of the ball that Fives looked like getting a wicket.

Needing over 300, Fives were never really going to get near this total, particularly with the time left to get them. Adam Peters batted steadily for (29), Mohammed Yassem (24) and Shoab Iqbal (A.sif) batted well for a fine 50 to leave Fives to finish on a rather disappointing 147-8.
