Match report F&H batted first in a 45 over match on a very good wicket under leaden skies. An opening interlude of equally leaden batted followed until the turning point when umpire Maddison gave Foley out LBW. This brought to the grease guest/new member Younis who proceeded to hit the ball all around the ground in a series of classy, wristy, powerful shots, finishing up with 83 no. Aided and abetted by Haider and Uriel, who both put bat to ball in traditional style, F&H went from 50-3 after 20 overs to around 215-8 at the end of the 45 overs. Hutton chased enthusiastically in what was likely to be close finish, however the weather finally won out when batsman couldn't see and bowlers couldn't stand after about 30 overs. At least everyone got an bat and a bowl and the tea was more than edible, so the season is up and running for the lower Xl's.
