Match report A superb all round team performance saw Fives beat the current league leaders by 114 runs. Put into bat Fives lost Brant early on but excellent contributions from O'mahoney,Britton, Hall, Foley and Gull saw fives declare at 307-9 from 52 overs.
Harding Wheeler and Hall all struck early blows and put Fives in a commanding position. With 19 overs left Colchester reeled at 126 for 8, but experienced players Spelling and Austin frustrated fives until the last ball of the 18th over when Hall struck to remove spelling. Austin desperate to get the strike for the last over off the last ball of the 19th guided Coleman to gully, where harding took a marvellous diving catch to seal 18 valuable points as Fives start their march towards winning the league.
