Match report
The 'B's opened their seasons account in fine style with a 12 run victory over a strong looking Chingford.
Batting first we posted an impressive 137-5 with two of our Fives indoor debutants, Nick and Billy, both being retired. With wickets falling to some sharp bowling both returned, Nick playing on for 26 and Bill going on to a magnificent 77 not out as last man standing.
Our bowlers restricted the scoring early on with Nick running out the opening bat and both Billy and Finley picking up wickets the pressure was on for Chingford.
Portia and Shaan (our other player making his indoor debut) bowled good lines as Chingford attacked. Finley held his nerve in the death over leaving the opposition too much to do.
Jack had a solid game behind the stumps keeping the extras down and norrowly missing a diving catch.
A good all round performance and deserved victory, well done to all.
