Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Saturday 2nd XI v Loughton on Sat 25 May 2013 at 13:00
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Lost

Match report Loughton won the toss and had no trouble deciding to bat on what Master Curator 'Shers' described as a 280 deck!
Sibley and Babar bowled well for the opening spell with each claiming a wicket. Samuel and debutant Meraj Mustansar took over to continue the good work. The spin of Coleman added to the pressure with tight bowling but with wickets in hand, Loughton and in particular Anwar upped the scoring rate to finish on 236-5 from their 52 overs.
Fives and Heronians innings began badly with Harbord and Blogg falling cheaply. Recognising the urgency Allum got the reply going with a quick 20 before Summers followed his lead with some fine strokeplay and together with Doig got Fives back in the game. Scoulding again showed his composure to hold the the innings together and along with Mustanser got to within a whisker of the Loughton total. With overs running out, wickets tumbled and Fives were all out for 229 with 5 balls left. Superb effort from the team and a great game of cricket!
