I hope you have all had a great winter and are now looking forward to a new cricket season at F&HCC. Indoor leagues have been going strongly since October, social events have been very well attended and indoor nets are well and truly underway. But now thoughts start to turn to the summer season, which is an important one for the club, as we look to bounce back after some disappointing relegations last season and the 4th XI look to compete well in a higher division after their impressive promotion. Aside from the league, it will be a big season for the colts as Mark Sayers takes the reins as our new Colts' Chairman and we look to do well in the varying competitions we enter at the different age groups. We have an excellent colts coaching structure in place for 2017 as we look to do our best to provide a high quality, fully qualified and safe coaching service for our young players.
As ever, I would urge you all to do your best to make yourselves available to play as many games as you can and to support social events. If you know anyone who might be interested in joining the club in any capacity, then please do urge them to come down to some indoor nets in the coming weeks, or up to the paddock at the start of the season to get a feel for the place. Also, if anyone has any sponsorship contacts or is interested in sponsoring the club in any way, we have a variety of opportunities to offer at very reasonable prices. Please do let me know.

With the commencement of winter nets our thoughts turn to the upcoming cricket season. It is therefore a convenient point to remind everybody that annual subscriptions are due by 1 April. There is a modest increase in subscriptions from 2016 levels in order to balance the books and continue to provide the level of amenity expected by all members. Payment by instalments is again available upon request. However, discounts are applied for payments in full received by 1 April:
