Fives and Heronians Cricket Club - Intro from the Colts Chairman

Welcome to the junior section of Fives and Heronians Cricket Club. Here you will find information on what the Club can offer your child, safety procedures, details of our training programme as well as membership and joining instructions. There is also information on the England and Wales Cricket Board Clubmark scheme and the Child Welfare Officers.

Our junior set up has 'Clubmark' accreditation - the English Cricket Board's benchmark for high quality cricket clubs which has a strong emphasis on junior development programmes.

Fives takes great pride in the success of our youth cricket and developing cricketers for club, district and county. The Club invests a great deal of time and effort to maintain the highest standards and are continually striving for excellence to offer the very best cricketing experience we can.

Junior teams are run up to U19's and we welcome boys and girls aged 7 to 16 from all backgrounds and of all abilities. Our primary goal is to encourage all our young cricketers to participate, learn about the game, develop their skills and enjoy their cricket.

At Fives and Heronians we encourage all juniors and parents to take an active part in the Club as much as possible both on and off the pitch and new volunteers are always welcome. We are fortunate at Fives that we have a committed and dedicated coaching team who are well supported by parents
. We run a full programme of Colts fixtures for all our age groups as well as a number of social events during the season. The details of which will appear on this website.

In addition to junior matches the Club actively encourages older Colts over the age of 13 to participate in adult teams which not only offers another playing avenue but also a development opportunity for young players to gain valuable experience.

As a Club we are committed to grasping the opportunities that are available at all levels and becoming the best we can be whilst enjoying our cricket.
