Match report Hutton batted first and scored 82 for 5 off their 15 overs. Two of their players retired on 25 NO. We bowled very accurately. Viraj took 2 for 21. Harry was the most economical at 0 for 6 off two overs. We fielded smartly and achieved 3 run-outs. We only gave away 4 extras – 2 byes, 1 leg-bye and 1 wide – an amazing performance at this level. We fielded excellently as a team and kept Hutton under pressure throughout.

Fives opened with Ben and Patrick D. Ben ripped into their attack and was out in the fourth over, bowled for 17. Max joined Patrick and sneaked a single as Patrick took over where Ben had left off smashing one huge blow that landed within a whisker of the longest boundary. Max was caught for 1. Viraj entered the fray and started slowly but again we were taking quick runs and the extras were mounting up. Patrick was on 15 when he was run out as they were taking a second run to a ball that went to long on. Niall joined Viraj who had started to score rapidly although we still needed 24 from the last 3 overs. Under pressure Hutton gave away more extras and then Niall was bowled for 1. Roshan supported Viraj by scampering in the run chase. 6 were needed off the last over which Viraj was facing. 2,1, dot ball, 2 …..then Viraj retired and Harry faced the last two balls. Harry swung his bat and missed a ball outside the off stump – Roshan was already half way down the pitch as Harry set off for the bowlers end and made it. We had won on a bye with 1 ball to spare. Whew!! Hutton gave away 14 extras – 7 wides and 7 byes.
