Match report Won the toss and had no hesitation in electing to bat on the hottest day for the year so far.

At 18 for 2 off 9 overs I was wondering whether that was the right decision.
A vital 3rd wicket partnership then followed with Hadder top scorer on 65 leading the way. At 102 for 3 at drinks break we looked in a good position.
However it was left to Steve Poulter at No. 7 to enable us to pass the 200 mark after 48 overs as the middle order stuttered.

In reply Benfleet had a good start scoring at 4 an over. But Uncle Yaz continued to bowl tightly. With the introduction of Hadder, wickets started to tumble and they collapsed to 65 for 7. Atul Ghandi then helped mop up the tail. A good victory on a lovely sunny day.
