Match report Lost the toss and asked to bat. At 7pm I only had 5 players but a big thanks to Bob Speller for turning out at the last minute and bowling so well. A good start with Stan batting positively helped by having most of the strike. I then managed to accelerate with a quick 16 runs in 5 balls (incl. a rare 6) after being told this game was not a test match. In the final over we scored 12 which meant we ended up just 5 short of the 100 mark, the ideal total

In reply Woodham M lost a wicket early on but then easily moved on to 49 - 1 off 5 overs. However, some tight bowling by Mark Wheeler and Bob Speller meant that we restricted the middle order leaving them to score approx. 30 off the last 2 overs. Our 1st win of the season followed by a nice pint in the local pub was the end result.
