Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Lost 5 wickets

Match report South Woodford won the toss and sent Fives out to bat first. Depsite a few quick wickets falling Fives looked strong putting on 59 runs in just over an hour before losing their third wicket. Some excellent batting from Mel Hussain and Fitzgerald got fives up to a score of 159 off 50 overs beofre losing 3 quick wickets. The tail end batted well and we ended with 207 all out off 63.4 overs.
South Woodford then went in to bat and lost a wicket in J Kay's second over, he struck again in his 5 over and South Woodford were looking in poor stead being 17-2 off 10 overs due to some tight bowling from J Kay and C White. Unfortunately a good partnership was struck and the score progresesd to 100 before the partnership was broken. The new batsmen was dimsissed quickly by Mordrick and Fives were looking good again. However M Akhtar was in good form and kept the innings together ending on 124 not out. A last desperate attempt to get back into the game came when T Ballard bowled Sayyed but it was not enough and South Woodford won by 5 wickets. Fives played well though and were unfortunate that Akhtar was not dismissed early in the game.
