Match report On a windy and cloudy Saturday Fives won the toss and went out to field against Gidea Park and Romford. Some very good bowling from Clark and Coleman ensured that Gidea park and Romford were just 37 runs off 14 overs. White and Ballard carried on the superb bowling to get Gidea Park and Romford 61-1 off 25 overs.The bowling remained for the most part very good and after lunch the second wicket fell, Ballard removing the second highest top scorer of their innings for 46. In the next over the top scorer, S Davis - 71, was bowled by Edwards and then just 10 minutes later Ballard succeeded in getting Hussain out LBW for 1. In his next over T.B. got his thrid wicket and Gidea Park and Romford were struggling slightly at 177-5 off 60 overs but more was to come. In the 64th over Tom Clark got his first wicket, then C White got his second in the penultimate over getting J Dreyer out for 0 and then Clark got his second wicket in the last over of the innings leaving Gidea Park and Romford 210-8 off 66 overs.
Ballard and Edwards starting the Fives innings with T.B. scoring quickly until he was unfortunately caught on 47. However Beazleigh came in and scored a fairly quick 49 with help from Sheeny and then Fitzy. Britton and White carried on where Beazleigh left off and supported Fitzy until White was bowled on the last ball of the day. Some good bowling from Gidea Park and Romford prevented much quick scoring and Fives finished on 166-6 off 59 overs.
