Match report Fives lost a crucial toss and were inserted on a damp and variable Old Parks strip. All the early batting struggled and was held together by the senior Surry scoring the slowest 50 of his career in a minute short of two hours. Enter the spritely Commander Greene to liven up the running and bring Paul out of his shell to score his second 50 off just 22 balls as the wicket eased under the sun. Aided by a superb cameo from Nick Canacott the last 8 overs yielded 75 runs to take Fives to 204-5 in the 52nd over. Excellent new ball bowling by Drew Brogan and Ritchie Charlton reduced Parks to 25-5 in the 13th over. As the new ball softened Fives had to ring the changes to wheedle out the remaining batters with Parks opener Rogbins defying advancing years to make 39 in two and a quarter hours before becoming Charlton's 5th victim. The innings was wrapped by by Philip Apps taking the sharpest of his three good slip catches to see Fives home with 7 overs to spare.
