Match report A meteoric start by Stevens and Ballard (43 off 27 balls) saw Fives rocket to 64 by the 8th over before TB unaccountably decided that his hitherto successful policy of depositing off-stump half volleys out of the ground over long off should be changed to aiming for mid-wicket with unfortunate timber-rattling consequences. Stinky overcame a tentative start to bat with increasing authority while the middle order found various ways to get themselves out reducing Fives to 137 for 5 off 24 overs. Nick Rotsey started to rebuild the innings with Daniel before the latter was narrowly beaten by a good throw to depart for 71 at a run a ball. Enter Chalky White to play a very sensible innings adding 72 in 12 overs with Rotsey before being yorked. After the rapid departure of Tom Clarke without troubling the scorers and with 10 overs remaining Rotsey unaccountably decided to give catching practice to long off (gratefully accepted) departing for 53 off 52 balls leaving JK and Reggie to make what they could off the last 10 overs - not many as it turned out. The innings closed with almost 6 overs unused indicating a lack of applicartion which would have been punished by a better team.

Enfield made a steady start with much playing and missing against Coleman and Clarke before three wickets in two overs checked their progress. A good stand saw them to 141 for 3 in the 28th over making them clear favourites. Good medium pace from Ballard and McKay applied a brake to the scoring and applied enough pressure to induce some rash shots allowing Fives to work through the remaining batting to secure an excellent win by 51 runs in the 44th over.
