Match report Lost the toss, got inserted. 40 minute rain break after 3 overs, Rob and 13 year old Kish Patel took the score from 39 -1 to 124 by the 28th over. Kish made 59NO on his third team debut batting at 3 while Rob battled hard early on and made a more than useful 67 in the circumstances. The returning Steve Adcock (36) upped the ante, as Fives declared at 200 ensuring maximum points after 43 overs.
Westcliff lost 2 very early wickets and struggled even more once Sooty entered the fray. Soots took 8 for 45 of 12 overs, including Westcliffs no.3 who top scored with 35. Michael Knapton taking an excellent catch at long on.
A comfortable win, sterner tests will follow.
