Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Chelmsford 4s on Sat 22 May 2010 at 1.00 pm
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Lost by 4 wickets

Match report Fives won the toss in glorious sunshine and opted to bat first. We made steady progress in reaching 56 for 0 after 26 overs. Steve Adcock then came in and stepped on the gas with a beligerent 44. We were 105 for 2 off 33 with plenty of batting to come. However, we never really threatened a substantial score and Nagappan in his last game saw us to 210 off our 52 overs, which was about 30 under par.
Chelmsford got off to a good start and put on 80 for the first wicket in good time. However, the introduction of Sooty created pressure and Chelmsford began to wobble. Kish Patel offered good support at the other end in tandem with Soots. However, despite needing 30 off the last 5 overs with 4 wickets in hand, Chelmsford secured victory, some sloppy fielding (including the skipper) didnt help. We werent at our best today and still took 10 points from the game. Chelmsford deserving to take the 18 points.
