Match report Fives lost the toss and fielded first for the first time this season on a flat track at the Chigs in sweltering conditions. Sooty took the new ball and struck in his first over. Harlow rebuilt steadily against Fives strong spin attack and batted sensibly in reaching 231 for 3 off 52 overs, which was about 40 runs under par. Sooty bowling 26 overs off the reel (much to first slips bemusement). Fives stuck to their task well in batsman friendly conditions and came off at 3.50pm (very good at third team level). Matt Adcock and Pete Kilpatrick opened up with Matt in very destructive form with the opening pair putting on 140 for the first wicket off 17 overs (one six into the tennis court and one into Alan Sugars back garden amongst a few others). We lost a couple of quick wickets, with Pete finding himself run out (again!) after looking well set for a big score. Navs came in at 3 and anchored the Fives reply to see us home by 5 wickets with 14 overs still to bat, Commander Lewis chipping in with 18 and Chalks 14*. A comprehensive win which keeps Fives at the top of the table. Thanks to Chris White for captaining and his efforts over the last two games.
