Match report Fives lost the toss and were asked to bat on a dubious looking wicket (which played better than it looked). Pete made batting look easy before running himself out for 23 opening the batting as the rest of Fives top/middle order struggled to cope with testing batting conditions against arguably the best bowling attack in the division as we found ourselves 77 for 6 at drinks and very much up against it. Neary and Apps then batted sensibly with good application and grafted a match winning partnership of 80 runs as Fives made an above par 183 off 51 overs. We took regular wickets with the ball with the catching excellent, special mention to Pete who took one superb catch at slip. Sooty took 4 wickets, assisted by Pete with 3 wickets. Tino, Sibbo and Naveed all offered good support and created pressure and chipped in with a few wickets. An excellent win against a team who arguably should be near the top of the league as Fives take 20 points and remain top of the league with an 8 point lead over second placed Hutton and an 18 point lead over third placed Chelmsford with 7 games left
