Match report Fives won the the toss and opted to field against bottom of the table Westcliff. 24 overs had been bowled in the first hour and WOS were 38 for 5. The wickets were shared between Pete, Del & Sooty. Westcliff lower order with dogged resistance and taking a liking to Sooty eeked out 141 in the 52nd over (at 3.25pm) with Spoult doing most of the damage. Special mention to Brooksy who took his first wicket for Fives (and bought a jug which is the important thing).
Fives top order had a very youthful look about it today and after losing a couple of early wickets, 14 year old Jake Poulter and 15 year old Rohan Quereshi put on 78 for the third wicket as Fives moved towards victory. Chris Apps and 13 year old Kishen finished the job with around 14 overs of the last 20 to go.
A comfortable victory against a side who enjoyed themselves despite still searching for their first win this year. Fives remain top of the league with an 8 point lead over second placed Hutton and a 16 point lead over third placed Chelmsford.
