Match report Goresbrook won the toss and chose to bat, on a pitch that provided some assistance to the bowler’s, the youngster’s bowled really well, very encouraging signs for the future.
Rahul Patel being the pick of the bowling, with 2-16 in 7 over’s, Rahul also took a quite outstanding catch, Jo Samuels bowled well at the end of Goresbrook innings, helping to limit their score to 176-8 in 45 over’s.
Fives got off to a steady start and were always in front of the required run rate.
Gurtej Bhamra was the main stay of our innings, scoring a well compiled 51, the real acceleration came from Lewis Forman, who put bat to ball and ended with a 59 not out off not too many balls, nice way to show the captain what he has been missing all season. Fives reached the required total with over ten over remaining with the loss of 4 wickets.
A very good performance all round, which leaves Fives in a strong position with the number of good youngster’s coming through.
