Match report Fives, lost the toss and were asked to bat in a sports hall that was half
the size of what they are used to. Buxton and Norris got off to a cautious
start trying to pick up easy 1's hitting the side walls as not much
opportunity to take 3's. Norris was out for 7 from a good catch, which
brought Jackson in. Again both batted very sensible and Buxton retired with
25. Bhome and Jackson tried to increase the run rate but Jackson was out to another good catch off the wall. Ballard came in with 8 overs gone and got off to a good start hitting his 2nd and 3rd balls for 6 and 4 respectively. Bhome
and Ballard put on quick runs before they both retired. Kay didn't hang
around for long trying to getting quick runs. Fives eventually ended up
with 115 for 5 off their 12 overs.
Kay took the first over and Hadleigh were immediately under pressure with a
good tight first over. Buxton took the next over and it became apparent
that they were going to take every chance to go for the back wall looking for
4's and 6's. Kay picked up a caught and bowled in the 3rd over. Fives then
started to pick up wickets regularly with some tight bowling and very good
fielding and catching which the bowling stats clearly show. Jacko
managed to grab a late headline with a fantastic one handed catch to win
the match with hadleigh all out for 68 in the 10th over.

Regional Finals to be held at the indoor school at KENT CCC on the 21st
feb, with the winners of this going to the finals day at Lords on the 14th
March
