Match report Fives claimed 7 points on Saturday in a high scoring drawn game against Chelmsford. After winning the toss Chelmsford decided to bat first on what was a flat batting track with a a very fast outfield. Fives all round bowling and fielding display was probably for the first this season somewhat lacklustre and slightly disappointing. Inconsistent bowling, dropped catches and misfields were Fives downfall which enabled Chelmsford to reach 294-7dec.

Fives faced a massive task to get anywhere near that total in what would be something like no more than 45overs or so. The run rate proved too much for Fives even though we did give it a go in the first 36 or so overs. Brathwaite was again on form making a fine 83 ably supported by Shahbaz who made 47. This total proved to much as Fives shut up shop when needing 92 of the last 9 overs with only three wickets in hand.
