Match report The late arrival of several players forced a change in the early batting order which contributed to a Fives collapse to 9 for 3 in the 4th over. A robust response from Kula Raguraj and unusaully circumspect play from the skipper stopped the rot and resulted in a stand of 85 in an hour. After both departed, the ever dependable Franklin and Greene worked us up steadily towards the 200 but when both were stumped in successive overs it was left to Sooty to marshall the late order to reach 208 off 48 overs.

Laying down his bat, Soots then picked up the ball and "Wheeled" away through 17 immaculate overs to vary attacking fields ending with 6 for a miserly 20. At the other end, good support cam from OJ and Jeremy Waller available on temporary release from their school duties. It is worth noting that the initial breakthrough was the result of a superb effort by Clive at cover point running out one of Southend's notorious blockers for 1 off 26 balls. As the last 20 overs approached the naew ball was given to Usman Perwais who showed great promise delivering four very sharp overs at the required full length and beating several batsmen for pace. The final wicket went to OJ in his second spell to bring victory by 76 runs with 18.4 overs remaining.
