Match report Fives won the toss and inserted Upminster in order to see how a re-laid all-weather strip would play. The opening attack of Hammad Sayyed and Mark Hutchinson bowled well with Mark fielding athletically off his own bowling to yield only 8 runs from 5 overs. The first changes, Ali Hussain and Haroon Rafique, maintained the pressure and wickets started to come. The introduction of spinners Delboy and Ricky Reynolds was delayed by very short square boundaries either side but brought 3 wickets in four overs to wrap up the tail. In pursuit, Fives made light of a target of only 108 to win. Yaseem, promoted from the 5th team following his 100 the previous week, made an accomplished 50 with Hamaad finishing on 47*. The standard of fielding was generally high and the confidence engendered by this win should set the team up for the second half of the season. Sympathies go to Raggie whose father spent 5 hours oin hospital on Saturday morning (he's OK now) and who, somewhat cheerfully, paid his £6 for did not bat, did not bowl!
