Match report Having won an important toss on a wet wicket, Fives' bowlers produced the accuracy required to put Hornchurch under sustained pressure with the first 20 overs producing 2 wickets for only 29. Ritchie Charlton (5-63) put in a marathon 19 overs up the hill while Haroon, Mark and Uncle Yaseen wheeled away effectively at the other end. The only disappointments were a very slow over rate, and injuries to Clive from a vicious Yaseen lifter and Haroon while taking an important catch on the boundary.

In reply a bright start was spoilt when Yaseen chipped to mid off but a lengthy stand between Stan Foley and the ever dependable Commander Greene, 43* at the close, dampened any Hornchurch hopes. After Stan's departure, an elegant 26 from Aqeel took Fives past the 100 leaving time for the skipper to bash three fours and secure an emphatic 7 wicket win with 6 overs in hand.
