Match report The private schools were very kindly asked to field by the state school boys.

The sate schools opened the batting with clarky and Jack Swash. However, they did not last very long as JK and Streaky bowled very well in tandem to leave the state schools in trouble on 46 for 3.

Cue TB and rana who then smashed the private schools bowling to all parts, tb was in particular in devastating form, so devastating I might never bowl again.

However, the private schools got some relief from the fact that we had set a restriction on 3 sixes per batsmen (i think thats why sheeny cried off) so after tb had reached his limit in the third over he faced we thought that might be an end to the carnage - think again - 7 sixes later he was caught by daniel off porky for a beligerent 91.

Useful contributions from reggy, saul, shers and jake poulter left the state schools on a daunting 296 off their 40 overs.

Mention should be made of porky, who bowled very well for his 1 for 51 and perhaps deserved a little more reward.

Gordrick and hilts opened for the private schools and the pop star that his rob allum strangled gordrick down the leg side for 9.

Enter porks and the field spread to all parts despite the state schools having 296 to defend - unfortunately porks only made 17 and consequently the game was up for the private schools.

Hamad (47) and streaky (36) made useful contributions.

Mention should be made of Jake Poulter who not only snared the skipper with a ball that pitched leg stump and hit offstump but also a certain Mr stevens - although this is still being denied.

A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all and this is certainly a fixture we will be looking to play next season.
