Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Lost by 45 runs

Match report Fives lost the toss and fielded first, and got off to a very good start with ‎Rob clean bowling the opener second ball, and James bowling very tightly, ‎James and Robs first four overs put the opposition under pressure. Mark and ‎Nick then bowled an off spin combination but the odd six here and there off ‎the spin bowling started to put some runs on the board for Goodmayes. Rob then ‎came back on in the ninth over and without bowling in any way badly went for ‎three consecutive sixes as the Goodmayes batsmen threw the bat at everything, ‎and finished up with a very good total of 121, which was going to be a big ‎ask.‎

Kishen and Rob opened the batting but despite best efforts were unable to put ‎runs on the board early on, and when Kishen was run out at the end of the ‎sixth over there looked too much to do. James hit a good straight four and was ‎then caught off the wall trying to push the score along, and Rob then got ‎going hitting some sixes down the ground before he had to retire, Nick was ‎bowled second ball and then Mark then ran the skipper out with a run that was ‎never there despite the Goodmayes keeper almost making a hash of it. All in ‎all we weren't quite good enough after the opposition had made a good total.‎
