Loughton B v Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Indoor League 'D' on Sat 09 Apr 2011 at 8.50 am
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won by 36 runs

Match report Fives played their last match of the season against Loughton B who were about half way up the ‎League.Bearing in mind fives “lack” of success this season they could have a fear of yet more ‎heartbreak of defeat, but from the very start it looked good for the bottom side. The team had three ‎changes, first due to holidays and work Shiren made his first and maybe only appearance(lets hope ‎not) GS come in as well .Lastly there was a change of skipper.Everybody arrived nice and early. The ‎skipper won the toss and batted .James and Kishan opened.James was not very quick between the ‎wickets and was run out.KP was not his usual self of crashing everywhere. He took his time but still ‎ended up with 25 retired.Rahul was run out unluckly,Shireen luckly not run out, both by the same ‎person(nameless but lives in the same house as a clue) Graham and Soots steaded the ship, which ‎means they didn’t score many, but it did give a chance to KP to return but sadly he perished quickly and ‎it was left to Soots to push /nerdle the score to 78 for 5.‎
Graham said during the break that the score was defendable just ,what a “sage” he turned out to ‎be.Opening with Shiren Loughton struggled against his pace and swing(he paid me to say this).Second ‎over Rahul kept the pressure on and Loughton were behind on run rate.Third over Shiren struck with ‎two LBWs plumb as you like. The pressure was now on Loughton.Peter their Star bat retired on 25 out ‎of 29 so fives fancied getting the others out and putting the run rate up.This ploy worked .The skipper ‎rotated his bowlers. Two dropped catches casted some doubt in the younger fives minds but not older ‎heads.Three good catches and a run out saw Loughton all out for 42 and a well deserved victory.‎
MoM Kishen Batted and bowled well
Fielder of the day .The umpire who remains nameless but you will see him at fives every other ‎week.Who for some reason when Kishen was batting stopped a drive going for six (it went for a mere ‎four) when it was way above his head.‎
