Match report As a result of an accident on the A12 the match started at 8.30pm once the 5 from F&H arrived.

Unfortunately Bob Speller decided to do a no show!

We batted first and Simon and the skipper made a good start at 46-0 off 5 overs. Unfortuantely neither Simon or I managed to retire on 25 and were therefore able to come back later. In the space off 2 overs we lost 4 wickets. At 67-4 off 8 overs we were definitely in trouble. However Neil Braithwaite then took 29 runs off the last 2 overs so that we reached 96 with only 5 batsman. It could have been more though.

In reply Basildon & Pitsea soon found the gap in the field and were comfortably up with the run rate. 66 off 6 overs. However, we stuck to the task well and took the match to the final over. With 6 players I am sure we could won.
