Match report Fives LOST the toss and were asked to bat on a greenish looking wicket

Gary and Dan put on 144 for the first wicket in 30 overs. Gary played the anchor role working the ball into gaps while Dan played a fantastic innings, playing shots all round the wicket - Particular mention of how well he played Rob Smith and Jeremy Mordrick

After Dans dimissal , we lost regular wickets thereafter, with only TB, James Mckay and JK, getting into double figures. We managed to post 253 for 8 off 52 overs, which was a very competitive score, especially as the Wells were on a four game losing streak.

Tom Clark opened up with JK and Tom got Fives off to a really good start bowling the opening batsman

A partnership of 79 resulted for the second wicket, despite some steady bowling from the Fives boys. Josh Peters now fully recovered after his shin splints, cleaned up the Wells overseas.

After been 96 for 2 and in the backseat, The Fives lads through 110% effort managed to run through the wells middle order, with the Wells rocking at 157 for 6 with over 15 overs remaining.

However despite a really big effort from the whole side we managed to take only 2 more wickets - Ex Fives player, veteran Jeremy Mordrick proving a thorn in the side, as he comfortably negotiated the last few overs
