Match report Fives batted first on a good wicket, with a short boundary one side. 12 year old Rahul Patel opened with Keith. All the top 4 got starts but didnt kick on. We were 70 for 4 off 17 overs and needed to make 240 off our 40 overs to put pressure on the home side. Kishen and Chris got valuable time in the middle and Adders added some lusty last blows to get us to an under par 193. Sooty and Rob Allum opened the bowling and Hertford arguably with a bit more luck should have been a couple of wickets down after the first 10 overs but were 40 for 0. At drinks it was anyones game as Hertford needed 120 with 8 wickets in hand. However, their opening bat made a 100. We did drop him twice which didnt help. It was a decent workout and it was very good to see Roger Brathwaite back, who bowled decent areas. There is competition for places in the 3s this year and people need to take their chance when it comes.
