Match report The Second Eleven's final friendly game before their league campaign starts came to an early end when rain halted play with Loughton on 99-1 chasing F&H's 186-7 in what was a 40 overs per side game. Having lost the toss Fives were asked to bat and the main highlights in probably what was a slightly below total were (77) from Shoab Iqbal (A sif) who batted extremely well throughout his innings. Other highlights was our umpire Steve Ambridge putting his umpire jacket away and picking up his for the first time in a while. Although only making a brief 15 he did manage to win the `don't bodda movin' shot of the day by dispatching one big 6 into the houses. F&H finally managed to boost their total thanks a 50 partnership in the last 5 overs. A couple of quickfire cameos from the returning Mark Wheeler who hit an entertaining (34no) and the skipper Harding (19*) to leave Fives on 186-7.

Unfortunately over the tea period the rain that was forecast came down and although both sides tried to carry on in the rain for a while bowling with the wet ball was becoming more difficult and both sides were happy enough to come off the field and go to the bar. Loughton finished on 99-1 off 20.4 overs. Match Abandoned!
