Match report A cold and windy day when Hainault & Clayhall away would have been in your top 3 grounds to avoid! Nevertheless, F & H managed a businesslike victory thanks to a solid bowling and fielding performance and some excellent batting by Oram and Vasantham.

The highlight of the match was provided by Vasantham who turned up late but then took a spectacular, no look, one handed catch above his head at midwicket (imagine a Harlem Globetrotters style 'slam dunk' and you are there). The captain then made the inspired decision to put Vasantham at 4 despite never having seen him bat before. Allied with a carefully crafted 55 from Oram, Vasantham stroked an excellent 75 to virtually see F & H home. Norris and Ashfaq closed the game out in typically urgent fashion to seal the win.
