Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Wanstead on Sat 21 May 2011 at 1.00 pm
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Lost by 6 wickets

Match report Fives won the toss and opted to bat on a brand new wicket at Whitbread. Wanstead opening bowlers bowled well, Sheerzay a 14 year old quickie and Asif a tall swing bowler proving hard to get away on a track that was 'doing a bit' off the pitch and in the air with the odd ball keeping low. All the batsman struggled with only Keith and Adders reaching double figures.

JK and Tom Arnold opened the bowling but Karan Singh 'teed off' which wasn't a bad strategy on this pitch as Wanstead raced to 50 in 5 overs before Sooty and Streaky worked together as Wanstead struggled thereafter with Streaky picking up 4 wickets. A score of 150 would have made things very interesting but ultimately we failed again with the bat at home, none more so than the skipper with a Golden duck. The batting order will be re-jigged this week to give others an opportunity
MOM - Streaky (2nd game running)
