Match report
Fives won the toss and elected to bat, on what looked like a great batting track. Fives struggled to get going in the first 26 overs, loosing wickets periodically, which slowed our run rate, against it must be said some good bowling from Billericay. Lewis and Chris steadied and ship, then came the fireworks, with man of the match Chirag playing a classy innings of 52, backed up by Jag with 44, the scoring rate accelerated rapidly, enabling Fives to post a total on 238-8.
Billericay innings was never allowed to get going, with Roger bowling a terrific opening spell of 12 overs 7 maiden 3wkts for 10,(with 3 no balls included in the 10 runs, Roeger requested that I specified this), however the real hero with the ball was Chirag, with a 5 for 23 from 9 overs.
Once again, the team showed terrific spirit, when batting and were very good in field.
