Match report Fives Under 11 A got the clubs indoor season off to nail biting victory. Opting to field first we got off to a sluggish start. However, Shaan took an excellent catch off Niall Kerai to put BH on the back foot. As BH weaker players came to the crease Fives clawed back the momentum and restricted BH to 89 off their 12 overs. Niall and Viraj being the standout bowlers, Shaan the standout fielder.
In reply we lost a clatter of early wickets as batsman struggled to adapt to the indoor conditions. However, Fives kept a trick up their sleeve and Charles Allen came in at 5 with us needing 55 with only 3 wickets left. He lead the side to victory with a nudge and run policy and was helped in no small part by Olly Cross who batted beyond his years. An excellent first win considering 4 of the players had never played an indoor game before
