Match report In the second match of their double-header Fives lost in a very poor batting ‎encounter .‎
League leaders Wanstead bowled us out for 50 but in truth every wicket was our ‎own fault . Maybe a little fatigue set in and also a little lack of belief ‎against older boys who all play county cricket . ‎
Firstly a mix up between Tom and Will led to the latters run out . This ‎unfortunately was followed by Tom holing out . Mike and Harry showed a good ‎understanding and things looked on the up with some good running and a lovely ‎six by mike until he pushed at their leg spinner and was caught at point . ‎
Harry was then closely run out , Henry bowled and a little cameo by Isaru took ‎us to 50 before he too holed out . ‎
We bowled well . Henry especially at fearsome pace to their top class opener . ‎Will opened up with leg spin and having been hit for two sixes got their ‎danger man with a googly that was superbly caught by player of the night Isaru ‎‎. ‎
Wanstead then wobbled a little . Isaru clean bowled their other good bat and ‎Harry bowled a very tight over plus got a run out to keep the pressure Up . ‎
Alas we were 25 runs short on the night and wanstead knocked the remaining ‎runs off to win comfortably . ‎
‎7 games gone with two remaining . A lot of good points this year but still ‎mindful that this team has four U12 players . Keep our heads up fives and lets ‎go for a top 3 finish . ‎
