Match report With fives not quite playing to potential we lost a closely fought contest on Friday night . A ‎combination of conceding too many extras (no balls and byes ) , slack fielding and getting ‎bogged down with the bat ensured we fell short of winning the game . ‎
Led by their impressive skipper Parks got off to a fine start . Both openers played Henry and ‎Isaru well . With 35 off the first 4 overs it was left to Harry and Tom to bowl the middle six . ‎The score being 71 after 10 was a satisfactory position . Both lads bowled well with Harry ‎picking up 2 wickets both catches by Mike . Unfortunately we conceded 26 of the 11th over and ‎a final score of 112 for 3 was respectable . ‎
Mike and Tom got off to a fine start . Playing some nice shots and running hard we scored 22 off ‎the first two overs . Old parks came back though bowling well and we suffered from a little too ‎many dot balls . 39 after six left us needing 74 at the halfway stage . With Tom retiring in the ‎seventh over we then lost some wickets chasing the total . Harry ( caught ) , Michael ( run out ) , ‎Louise-who batted well- ( bowled ) all sacrificed for the cause but Henry batted superbly taking ‎us to 87 for 3 after 10 . ‎
It's seems that the 11th over won Old parks the game in both innings . With only six runs and the ‎loss of Isaru ( bowled ) and Henry ( run out ) it was left to the returning Tom to bludgeon 19 off ‎the last . Unfortunately the task was too tough and we finished on 97 . ‎

A fine game and still believe with focus this team can go very close this year .
