Match report ‎ ‎Our first match against Bancroft School was a rusty performance. Daniel Chinaloy (U14) was drafted in at ‎the last minute and a debut for Karam Lillai (ex-Woodford Wells).‎
‎ ‎
Fives fielded first and opened with a terrific over from Kishen (1 wicket no run), our next 11 overs however ‎went for nearly 11 runs per over. Bancroft through some rusty bowling and sloppy fielding finished at 121 ‎from their 12 overs.‎
‎ ‎
In reply Fives started well losing their first wicket in the 5th over with 57 on the board - Will Samuel batted ‎well and just missed out on being retired. The good work continued and both the Patel brothers were ‎retired. Unfortunately Daniel went cheaply which left the debutant (Karam) and Rob Samuel to score 22 ‎from 2 overs. Some fine hitting from Karam and good placement from Rob meant that we only required 2 ‎runs from the final over which we duly completed with four balls to spare.‎
