Match report Fives won by three wickets getting the one needed for victory off the last ball. Waltham Panthers batted well aided by some sloppy Fives fielding/bowling to ammass 126 with only 5 men. Mike Batt (12 years old) showed further promise behind the stumps, as did OJ with the ball with his vast variety of different balls, constantly keeping the batsman guessing. Our batting was vastly improved with OJ, Keith and Neary all reaching 25 as Fives worked the ball into the gap where the 6th man would have been. A routine victory probably made harder than it should have been but a victory none the less as we enter the winter break comfortably in mid table.
