Match report Our first game was not scheduled to start until 10.50a.m. Our opponents were Toureg C.C. from England and consisted of several experienced Cricket coaches and a couple of young bucks.

Fives won the toss and decided to bat first. Terry Ballard and Phil Apps made a good start scoring 43 off the first 2 overs. Apps was out in the third over trying to hit a 7 iron to long on for 22. Steve Doig (Tour Virgin) joined Ballard and continued the good start, Ballard retiring in the 5th. (74-1)Chris White joined Doigy with both being out in the 7th. Doigy Roofing and Chalky running himself out.(100-3) Ben Britton and Stuart continued the good work before Ben roofed in the 9th. Ballard returned and finished on 36 N/out with Knapman 16 N/out making a total of 137-4 after out 10 overs.

Our bowling started well with Phil taking a wicket with his 2nd. ball (10-1) Stuart emulated Phil and took a wicket with his second ball (18-2) off 2 overs. After tight overs from Doigy and Chalky and an extra laden over from Ballard, Toureg were 60-2 after 6. Terry then redeemed himself clean bowling with his first ball and got "Sluggo" (Author of 20-20 Cricket and how to play it) out "roofed" in the 7th.Chalky bowled a tight 8th over and Apps wrapped it up in the 9th Toureg all out for 76. F & H. winning by 60 runs
