Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won 4 wickets

Match report A magnificent run chase saw fives climb to fifth in the league. The first 40 0vers saw fives hold the upper hand but some 130 runs from the last 12 overs saw Chelmsford post a masive 277.
Back in form O'mahoney and Braithwaite saw Fives off to a flyer scoring at 7 runs per over. Braithwaite departed for a well made 42 with the score on 72. Swash did not last long which brought the youngster Daniel Stevens to the crease who had been dropped from the first team. Stevens and Omahoney shared a stand of 87 before Omahoney was out for a very experienced 55, Gull,Britton and Harding failed to cash in, all departing quickly, this brought spoult to the wicket to share in an unbroken stand of 76 to see fives home with 2 overs left. Danny stevens ended the day on 123 not out and no doubt will make a swift and deserved return to first team cricket. A very memorable knock from a very good cricketer.
