Match report Having lost the toss we were inserted on a rain affected wicket. We got off to a reasonable start (20-1 after 10 overs) against their opening quick bowlers. Joe Rudkin and Cliver Franklin took the score on to 76-2 after 26 overs. Adrian Palmer took over from Clive and continued the positive batting with Joe. They took the score on to 100 for 2, Joe getting a very good 41. We then collapsed to 123 all out. The batting was clearly sub-standard at the latter end of the team. We should have scored 175.

In reply we bowled 4 overs and they reached 11-0. John Walters bowled really well and hurried their opening bat a couple of times. Hamad Sayyed also bowled well at the other end just needing a slightly fuller length and he could have had them in trouble as well. Rain then halted the match for the next hour and a bit. At 6.15 the umpire decided, with drizzle still falling, that no more play would be possible and the match was abandoned.
