Match report A really great win for the 13s beating a decent standard ilford side in a very entertaining game of indoor cricket .
Harry won an important toss and he and William got our innings of to a great start . We were going at 10 per over when Harry holed out in the 5th over . Tom came in and played solidly with William and when both retired we were looking very strong . Jack did very well but our run rate slowed down a bit jn the back overs until a fantastic last over from the returning Kelsey took fives to 120 for 4 .
Ilford in reply lost their opener to a terrific caught and bowled by William but after 3 overs they acclimatised and were going ok . Harry came on and immediately helped calm the run flow but it wasn't until young Viraj came on to bowl that we made our big breakthrough , a great diving catch by the skipper Harry removed the fluent ilford opener Akash and now fives could see the winning line . Courageous attempts to get close to fives total followed with the retiring ilford no 3 a real danger man but Samuel and Kelsey bowled fine closing overs to win the game by 8 runs .
A great effort considering we haven't played indoors since early November .
Outstanding fielding by certain players really got us home .
Well done boys .
