Match report Fives U13 indoor side wrapped up the league title with another fine batting display . They acquired the three points needed to be champions by posting 137 for 1 and then went on to participate in a thrilling game , winning in dramatic style .
With William and Harry back to their usual fine pairing we got off to a brisk start . Both played very stylishly and were retired along with Tom Kelsey .
After losing jack Dennis cheaply it was left to Isaru Gama and billy amas who have formed a great understanding and they went along at a similar pace both getting retired in the last over .
With the boys realising they were champions the less said about most of the fielding / bowling performance . We were belted around by a sequence of hefty swipes and although Isuru picked up a caught behind and gaining another wicket with a run out south Woodford were left needing 22 runs of 2 overs .
Buttleman picked up a stumping ( billy amas behind the stumps ) in the penultimate over and went for 10 leaving Harry samuel to bowl the last over with the now returned openers at the crease needing 12 to win .
With 9 runs conceded off the first 3 balls we were staring defeat in the face with the opposition needing 3 off 3 balls , but then the game changed . Jack Dennis cleanly fielded and run out the destructive batter with an accurate underarm throw to leave the runners crossed and Harry's county teammate on strike needing 3 off 2 . The bowlers knowledge of the player may have helped and he bowled two super balls across the left hander into Amas's gloves to leave the batsman stranded short of the score .
Roy of the rovers stuff and another example of how this team are match winners .

Winning the title was well deserved . Our ability to score runs freely on a weekly basis was the key to our success and lets hope this team can continue the fine spirit into the outdoor season .
