Match report After a six week lay off the b's were back in action with the first game of a double header.
Facing Robert Clack we lost the toss and were asked to bat.
Our opening pair, Bill and Jack, got us off to the perfect start both being retired as was our number 3 bat Nick, Portia hit a stylish 17 with Finley and Shaan chipping in before getting good balls.
Our openers returned and although Jack was caught trying to push the score on both Bill and Nick were not out at the end on 46 and 26 respectivley setting an impressive 138
Robert Clack started their reply well with their opener being retired before Portia showed the way with a caught and bowled. Finley and Bill both picked up a wicket with good line and length balls.
After such a long lay off our bowling and fielding were a bit loose and we let the opposition back in, who had a late rally and pushed us close in the last few overs.
Thankfully we held our nerve and they fell short on 120 for 5.
